The Soul of House of Rum – 30 Years in the Making House of Rum has arrived, unapologetically, to disrupt and enlighten when it comes to redefining the Caribbean’s most desirable export. Founded on the principle that every rum created is a Limited Edition, House of Rum’s super-premium and premium collection of unique rums encapsulates the passion held by its founder, David Howarth, towards the Caribbean region. At 22 years old David visited Antigua and was forever moved by his first authentic island experience that holds vivid in his memory 30 years on. Enjoying a beautiful rum punch, listening to steel drums being played to the backdrop of Shirley Heights, David was inspired to make a drastic career change, relocate, and spend the next three decades travelling, living and working across the Caribbean.

 Exploring and soaking up every inch of the islands’ captivating culture, his appreciation for rum grew as he discovered the nuances of the regional blends influenced by each distillery’s surrounding terroir – whether that be the shores of Jamaica or the coastal hillsides of Barbados. House of Rum was born to celebrate these undiscovered, rare regional intricacies, provide a platform for them, through the creation of sought after, specially selected aged and blended rums. Truly one of a kind, those with a discerning taste can be afforded the opportunity to collect and experience the exceptional flavours of the Caribbean brought to life through House of Rum’s collection, courtesy of some of the oldest and finest distilleries situated across the whole of the region.

The Diablo Series All House of Rum’s aged rums are unique, small batch releases, never to be repeated, and boast their own flavour profile that is as individual as the cask selection from which it was borne. Each bottle is presented in a luxurious bespoke Wibalin Buckram Black window presentation box, complete with beautifully decorated House of Rum branding, and hinged magnetic lid.

Diablo Spiced Rum - 43% ABV

Diablo Spiced Rum is expertly blended using White Caribbean rum born from sugar cane in column stills with a closely guarded recipe of spices. Light bodied and golden in colour with a balanced nose of citrus and spices that shows great character.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of cinnamon toast with salty butter coupled with lime, orange, and vanilla.
Palate: Soft spice and golden syrup coupled with hints of pimento, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg.
Finish: A perfect balance of sweet and salty notes.

Diablo Aged Rum - 43% ABV

Diablo Aged Rum is an intelligently crafted rum boasting great depth, beautiful aromas, and a smooth finish. Blended from rums originating from the renowned rum making islands of the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, this is a spirit to be truly savoured.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Intriguing aromas of brown sugar, vanilla, red grapes, and raspberries coupled with a slight smokiness.
Palate: Smooth and clean with red fruits lingering with a little burnt sugar.
Finish: Exceptionally smooth, slightly sweet with notes of butterscotch and sherry.

The Cocktails

Black Cherry Cobbler

Ingredients
• 35ml Diablo Aged Rum
• 20ml Amontillado Sherry
• 20ml Black Cherry Syrup (real)
 • 20ml Lemon Juice

Method

1) Shake all ingredients together in a cocktail shaker
2) Pour all liquid and ice into a wine goblet
3) Garnish with a lime wedge, cherry, and grapefruit zest slithers

Spiced Millionaire

Ingredients:
• 40ml Diablo Spiced Rum
• 15ml Cointreau
• 2.5ml Absinthe
• 10ml Pomegranate Syrup
• 20ml Lime Juice

Method

 1) Shake all ingredients together in a cocktail shaker
2) Strain liquid and pour into a rocks glass
3) Garnish with a lemon zest and a cherry
