Full Description
Bolivar rum, produced and matured in beautiful Venezuela. The rum was distilled using a Column Still from premium local sugar cane.
The rum is named after Simon Bolivar, known as the Liberator and Venezuelan hero, who played a major role in the transition to independence from Spain for several South and Central American countries, including Venezuela. In addition, the Bolivar is the national currency of Venezuela.
Tropical ripening is three times more intense than ripening in colder climates. Tropical heat intensifies the interaction between rum and wood. It matured in American ex-bourbon barrels from white oak, which gave it a pleasant woody aroma with notes of spices and nuts.
After aging, cocoa and vanilla distillates were added to the rum, achieving a unique taste with perfect balance and finesse. We recommend serving neat or in cocktails.
